Options for Uninsured Patients

The Grand River Dental Group participates with many insurance companies: Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Plans. We also offer options for patients without dental insurance. Some insurance companies allow uninsured patients to purchase discount dental cards. These plans offer uninsured patients discounts that vary from 20-40% over standard fees.

For patients without dental insurance, Delta Dental has an option. Purchase a discount card and receive approved Delta Dental fees in our office. This is a savings of 20-40%. Many of our patients have this plan and appreciate the savings. The plan can be used at any dental office that participates in the Delta PPO.

Delta Dental Patient Direct is an easy and inexpensive way for you and your family to save money on the health care products and services that you need, including discounts on dental, vision and hearing care, and prescription drugs.

For an annual fee of $80 per household, you and your family will receive discounts on:

• Dental Services: Save an average of 20–40 percent on dental services including exams, fillings and cosmetic services from the more than 4,000 Delta Dental Patient Direct participating dentists in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.

• Hearing Services: As a member, you can save on hearing aids, as well as a 30 percent discount on diagnostic services, which include hearing exams. One year of free batteries (80 cell per hearing aid).

• Prescription Drugs: As a member, you have access to average savings from 15–60 percent off generic drugs and average savings from 15–25 percent off brand name prescriptions at over 60,000 participating pharmacies nationwide.

• Vision Services: VSP is the nation’s largest eye care provider with over 44,000 participating points of care in retail and medical locations. Members save 15–35 percent off eye exams and eye glasses. Product not available in MT, VT and WA.

• Vision Services: The National Lasik Network offers discounts on LASIK eye surgery at over 570 locations nationwide. Receive discounts of 15 percent off standard prices OR 5 percent off promotional prices at select locations.
